Answers here: - A free demo will be in a couple months, and I'm working hard for an Early Access release on Steam around Feb-Mar 2024. - All major console ports will start after it goes through early access on Steam. That way I can fix all the bugs before console ports. Unfortunately there won't be mobile ports, because the game will be 10+ gb, and there's way too many mobile devices to support and test on each one. - The price will be $20 USD, but Steam varies the price by country, so it might be cheaper depending where you are. - There will be multi language subtitles. I will put in as much as I can, starting with the biggest audience first. But a lot of languages will be added over time. - For multiplayer, there is currently co-op local splitscreen. - Online might be added later, but that is a big maybe or maybe not, because it might break the game, so we will see. - I'm a solo developer, and my favorite part of developing was making all of Killer Bean's skills! - The zombies are part of a Shadow Agency experiment gone wrong, very wrong. - The story will be the conclusion of Killer Bean Forever and the episode series, but since this game is roguelike, there will be multiple stories and multiple endings. Each play through will be different for every player. So I can't really say that it is canon 😁 - In the game world, the beans are about 4 ft tall, and pretty wide 😅 - As playable characters, after Killer Bean, I will add a customizable character (play as a Bad Bean or Merc). Then Jet Bean is next. After that is Vagan, Cromwell, and Chintow! Kessler possibly! - I don't know if I'll ever make Killer Bean Forever 2, but after this game I might make a new series about Killer Bean's missions when he was still with the Shadow Agency. The goal is to make the episodes using this game, and then I will update the game so that you can play the same exact mission that was in the episode. I think that would be really cool. - In first person mode, there will be options to turn off camera rolling. - In terms of development completion, it's still a long way off, and still a lot of features I want to add. It will be in early access for a while. - This game is inspired by Just Cause, Far Cry, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, Max Payne, Borderlands, Doom Eternal, and Streets of Rogue. - There will be multiple outfits for Killer Bean, especially the KB1 and KB2 skins which will be unlockable with achievements. - Killer Bean's Car is a concept roadster, but inspired by the Pontiac Solstice. - For each full campaign, there will be 9 main missions, and multiple side quests. It will be divided into 3 chapters with 3 main missions each. - There will be lots of Achievements! If you have ideas for achievements, you can suggest them on the Killer Bean Steam Community forum. There is a thread with Achievement Ideas. - Yes, I can add a naked coffee bean option 😅 - This game has been in development for 2 years so far. - There will be some cutscenes but not many. - Why beans? It goes way back to when I was learning animation. I wanted a simple character to animate, a sphere with 2 arms and 2 legs. I was a big John Woo fan back then, so I gave this character 2 guns. It was then when Killer Bean was born. - There will possibly be a closed beta. - I would like to add a dancing mini-game! - Fists can kill when the enemy is dizzy. Or you can choose to do a finisher or interrogate the enemy. - Adding legs and body to first person mode is planned, but maybe later in early access. - A style meter will be added! - For First Person Mode, some parts will be forced to go into Third Person, like driving vehicles or performing finishers. - Yes, Steam Workshop will be added! - In terms of PC game stores, probably only on Steam in the beginning. Maybe I'll add it to more stores for PC later. - For dialogue, it will all be text-based dialogue like in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That way it will be easier to develop for procedural missions. - Yes, you will be able to holster your guns and just use your fists. Just be sure to upgrade the Melee Skill Tree! - For desktop, Windows, Mac, and Linux will be supported. - The game takes place on Shadow Bean Island, which will be 3km x 3km. It will be controlled by 3 factions, Bad Beans, Mercenaries, and Shadow Beans. Neither faction likes each other, and you can align with Bad Beans or Mercs if you choose to. - Killer Bean will have 3 or 4 skill trees that you can upgrade, similar to Borderlands and Far Cry. So far they are: Guns Blazing, Melee, Parkour, and maybe Survival. For customizable characters, you'll be able to select 3 skill trees for your character. Other skill trees will be like: Pro Driver, Stealth, etc. - So far, the main modes of transportation are vehicles, aircraft, and boats. Jet packs will be added, and of course motorcycles. There will be fast travel modes too. - When this game launches in Early Access, it will hopefully be a basic playable campaign. There will be a lot of things added during early access, like more roguelike variations of stories, missions, characters, vehicles, weapons, skills. Plus sandbox and Steam Workshop. More melee moves and more wrestling. - There will be some individual buildings like warehouses that you can do "Dramatic Entrances" on. For large interiors, it will have to be a separate scene loaded. - In terms of availability in which countries, it is highly dependent on Steam itself. - In terms of voice acting, the majority of the dialogue will be text-based, like in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but I will try to get some of the original voice actors back for one-liners. - Yes, it's quite crazy to me to see how big Killer Bean has gotten! I never imagined when I was first creating Killer Bean. - Killer Bean won't come to your house unless you are playing the music too loud. - Eventually I might make a campaign where you can play through the story of Killer Bean Forever 😁
